Portraits are done between bodies of work. Some are just for fun and some are commissions.  A portrait requires that the subject sit for me otherwise I will not paint it. I can do the set up and preliminaries from a photo shoot but the face and hands must be observed from life. I like to paint people with their pets if possible.
